Gage Green Group’s breeding program has produced more than 400 documented cultivars across more than fifteen years of continuous selection, hybridization, and stabilization. The genetics anchor a measurable share of the global cannabis gene pool: Grape Stomper alone is found in an estimated five percent or more of the public genetic domain, and the broader Gage Green family lines — including Mendo Breath, Mango Puff, High School Sweetheart, Grateful Breath, Romantic Warrior, and Phoenix — together anchor over seven percent of the world’s known cannabis genetics.

The breeding program operates through controlled crosses between selected maternal and paternal parents, with progeny evaluated across multiple generations for phenotypic expression, stability, and commercial value. Of the cultivars in the master archive, 328 carry full F1 hybrid documentation with both parents recorded; 396 carry maternal lineage; and the foundational gene pool draws from approximately six thousand foundational accessions including landrace varieties from traditional cannabis-growing regions, heirloom cultivars predating the program, and selections from open-pollinated populations.

The program’s philosophy is open-community breeding. Genetic-provenance integrity is treated as a public good rather than a proprietary moat. Lineages are documented for the long horizon, breeder credit is preserved across institutional transitions, and the cultivar archive is structured to outlast any single operator.
